All practicing printmakers worldwide are invited to participate in Woven Heritage (نسيج ثقافي), an international open call for miniature prints. This inaugural exhibition is under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, hosted by Al Serkal Arts District in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. By participating in this print exhibition, you are given the opportunity to exhibit your work during the 2017 Dubai Art Week, an annual event that brings art professionals together from around the globe.

This international exhibition of fine art printmaking will explore the concept of sharing and discovering unique cultures around the world. Each artist will creatively represent the distinct elements of their heritage from their own perspective, giving visitors a chance to discover and explore multiple cultural perspectives all in one showcase. The exhibition will show the importance of respecting the traditions of every participating artist through innovative printmaking expression. This multicultural exploration is a reflection of our community here in Dubai, with countless nationalities working and living together in one place. We hope that visitors to the exhibition will discover new ways to see the traditions represented by these international artists and gain a new understanding of cultures from around the world.

All works will be exhibited at the A4 Gallery in Al Serkal Arts District and included in the exhibition catalog, which will be sent electronically to every participating artist. Printed catalogs will be available for the cost of shipping. All submitted works will join the Zayed University Permanent Collection at the close of exhibition.
