Water nourishes, cleanses, and renews. A drop of water can save a life. A torrent of water can destroy it. Water moves along the path of least resistance, yet can carve mountains. It can take the form of solid, liquid, and vapour. The meanings of water run deep across cultures and time, as seen in rituals, myths, and modern narratives. Reveal your visions of WATER—through images, words, or any 2D medium that invites us to see what we haven't noticed before or evokes a sense of freedom in interpretation.

Requirements

Entries may include all art mediums that can be represented in 2D and written explorations of up to 1,800 words.

Awards

The selected artists and writers, up to 40, will be published in our print and digital magazine and the two-year online exhibition, as well as receive a free digital copy of the magazine. Four will also receive a feature section with a profile written about them. All benefit from professional portfolio presentation to art lovers and engage our readers through our social media, website, and print and digital issues. ArtAscent provides the opportunity for the voices and visions of writers and artists to be shared in a professional and accessible platform.
