The Clock is Ticking

Photography Regarding the Passage of Time

Martha Gault Art Gallery, Slippery Rock University   /   Deadline: 01/13/25

Download in PDF Format

The Clock is Ticking is a juried photography exhibition hosted by the Martha Gault Art Gallery seeking unique works addressing the passage of time. Whether it is cyclical, linear, or a construct, the passage of time is part of the human experience. Time can fly, it can be fleeting, or it can drag as we experience a continuum of successive events. Capturing time in still images can be challenging. Accepted photographs could reflect themes of permanence and transience, timelessness, memory, mortality, change, the flexibility of perception, or related concepts based on the progression of time. The theme is broad, and all photographically-based interpretations of time are welcome. What is the face of time?

Location

The Martha Gault Art Gallery is located on the Slippery Rock University campus in Slippery Rock, PA, USA, part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. Jurying will be conducted by Art Department faculty members. Accepted pieces for the exhibition will be printed and on view at the Martha Gault Art Gallery from January 29 to February 26, 2025.

Fees

$25 for up to three entries per submission. Additional submissions are allowed at same price.
