This is a rare opportunity to engage one-on-one & in a small group settings with 1 of the most formidable figures of American Photography to this day, color legend Stephen Shore, about where photography stands today, what role and position photographs occupy in our times of Instagram, and how your own work may remain most relevant in the face of the medium's changing nature.

Eligibility

ELIGIBILITY
Open to all photographers 18 years of age & older from all nationalities. Open to both film-based and digital photographers.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrate continued commitment to the study and practice of the photographic medium, as well as creating work deemed critical and innovative in the contemporary field.

Awards

AWARDS
3 competitive partial (50%) scholarships will be offered to currently enrolled photography students & recent graduates (May 2018 and after), as well as to low income artists.

Evaluation Criteria

EVALUATION CRITERIA
Photographers interested in this rare mentoring opportunity must demonstrate advanced practices and skills, as witnessed through their submission portfolio. Professional artists committed to the medium with full time photography careers or occupations will be granted priority. That said promising advanced amateurs will also be considered in a balancing effort to compose a highly dynamic and diverse group of participants.
