The Light Factory / Deadline: 10/15/15
The Light Factory is a Charlotte, NC, based non-profit organization committed to photography and film as a means of enriching lives and transforming communities through contemporary exhibitions, national and international visiting artists, and multifaceted photographic education.
The Light Factory’s history of outstanding exhibitions started with its founding in 1972. We have shown a wide variety of nationally renowned artists working in light-based media, sometimes early in their careers, including Sally Mann, Emmet Gowin, Keith Carter, Andrea Modica, Mark Klett, Andreas Serrano, Richard Renaldi, Jerry Uelsmann, Annie Leibovitz, and many others. In 2014 we relocated to a new space in a vibrant neighborhood and enjoy lively, well-attended openings and events.
