The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, invites visual artists to submit solo proposals of various types and accepts these on an ongoing basis starting usually in late winter, reviewing them starting in early June in consideration for the upcoming exhibit season.

On average, one-third of Manifest's exhibits are dedicated to solo exhibits. Solo exhibitors have included local, regional, and national artists from as far away as New York City, San Francisco, Canada, and Hong Kong. Over 300 artists exhibit (through group and solo shows combined) and over 4,000 patrons visit the gallery each year.

$50 non-refundable submission fee

Anyone can submit a proposal. Artists should bear in mind the need for a consistent and very strong body of work when submitting. Open to all traditional and non-traditional genre and media.

Types of proposals include solo exhibits, two person exhibits (we strongly recommend artists submit individual solo proposals and request consideration of the two-person show), and group shows (solo proposals preferred, but we have considered and accepted group proposals in the past).

The annual Manifest Grand Jury Prize will result in the awarding of one significant cash prize ($2500) to a single work selected as the 'best of the entire season'.

NOTE: A separate solo/proposal process for Season 17 will be offered for both photo and ceramic-specific works, with applications being accepted starting in early 2020. This is to allow for specific involvement at Manifest during the fall FotoFocus Biennial and during the spring NCECA conference happening in Cincinnati.
