On The Ground Floor (OTGF)   /   Deadline: 05/30/15

Curious about histories, origins, and the beginning of things, we ask emerging artists to probe their genesis - the dawning of a tribe, the annals of ancestry, the birth of a movement. Those catalytic moments in time that give rise to new ethos. We also invite artists working with organic and/or sustainable materials to apply. Our aim is to feature projects born out of a response to horticulture, urban farming, and agriculture; or narratives that invoke our natural world.

ROOTS will be on view June 27th through July 25th, 2015 in Los Angeles, CA.

On The Ground Floor (OTGF) hosts art shows, talks, readings, performances, and workshops that seek to foster meaningful conversations about the arts, create organic connections for artists, and preserve space for artistic experimentation and exploration.

Through quarterly group exhibitions, OTGF strives to uniter emerging artists with fresh audiences, collectors, critics, curators and gallerists. Our alternative space is located on the ground floor of a two-story residence situated above historic Leimert Park in South LA.
