Society for Photographic Education Northwest Chapter   /   Deadline: 08/15/24

The Society for Photographic Education's Northwest Chapter invites you to submit work for Renewal, a juried exhibition of photographic works in the Visual Arts Gallery at Mt. Hood Community College this October. The opening reception of the exhibition will coincide with our regional conference in Gresham, Oregon.

Renewal, for us, signifies the act of starting anew. It's about revitalizing our passion for photography, reaffirming our commitment to community collaboration, and seeking innovative solutions amidst challenges. We invite artists to submit work as it relates to the theme. Whether it's exploring new techniques, strengthening community bonds, or addressing pertinent issues to our time, we're excited to see your photographs.

Submit up to 5 images, an artist statement, and a CV or short bio to northwest@spenational.org with the subject line Renewal. Please follow the guidelines below.

-Images must be jpegs, 1500px on the longest side
-Name your files using the naming convention: Lastname_Firstname_Title_.jpeg
-Submit Artist Statement and CV in PDF Format

Timeline:
Notification of acceptance by 8/21
Work must arrive at the gallery by 9/18

Requirements

Works must be framed or exhibition ready
Works must be on display for duration of exhibition
Participants must be SPE members by start of exhibition
Participants are responsible for the delivery of work to and from the venue.
