PORTFOLIO SHOWCASE 13 | Open Theme

Each submitted portfolio is evaluated as a cohesive body of work by the Juror. One artist will be selected to receive the $1,000 ShowCase Award and be offered a solo exhibition at C4FAP. Ten photographers will be chosen to have their 12 image portfolio published in the Portfolio ShowCase 13 in-gallery and online exhibition complete with artist website links.


JUROR | Barbara Tannenbaum, Curator of Photography, Cleveland Museum of Art

Barbara Tannenbaum, Chair, Prints, Drawings & Photographs and Curator of Photography at the Cleveland Museum of Art, has organized well over 100 exhibitions during her 35 years as a curator. Recent and upcoming exhibitions include solo shows of Danny Lyon, Brett Weston, Ilse Bing, and Bruce Davidson; Black in America: Louis Draper and Leonard Freed; Cheating Death: Portrait Photography's First Half Century; and DIY: Photographers and Books, which was the first museum show of print-on-demand photobooks. She co-organized the first large-scale international exhibition chronicling women's historic achievements in fine art photography and the 1991 Ralph Eugene Meatyard retrospective. Dr. Tannenbaum has authored numerous publications including books on Ralph Eugene Meatyard (Rizzoli), TR Ericsson (Yale), and the Akron Art Museum's collection, and lectured throughout the U.S. and in Canada and China. She serves on the board of the Fred and Laura Ruth Bidwell Foundation.



ARTIST HONORS AND AWARDS | All 12 images will be included in an artist chapter in the Portfolio ShowCase 13 online and exhibition catalog. Each selected artist will have two images selected for the gallery exhibition. The Center provides an event press release and social media promotions with an audience of 180,000+ followers internationally.



ShowCase Award | One artist will be awarded $1000 and be offered a solo exhibition with the Center for Fine Art Photography.



NEW* TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIP | To further our goal of inclusivity one artist will receive a need-based scholarship for air travel to Fort Collins, accommodations, and ground transportation. Applications are taken after selections announced.



TRIFECTA WEEKEND |

Three juried exhibition's in the three distinct galleries at the Carnegie Center for Creativity in Fort Collins. Three prestigious curators are attending the reception, dinner following the reception, portfolio reviews, talks, and portfolio sharing. The final event of the weekend is lakeside BBQ on Sunday night.

Fees

MEMBERS | $56 per 12 image portfolio. More than one portfolio submission can be purchased at the same price. NON-MEMBERS | $ 66 per 12 image portfolio. More than one portfolio submission can be purchased at the same price.

Eligibility

ELIGIBILITY | Our calls for entry are open to all photographers, worldwide. The Center invites photographers and all photo-based artists working in all photographic mediums, digital, film, mixed and unique processes to participate.

Awards
