In 2016, at what could be the apex of the age of smart phones, and photo sharing apps, how are photographers using "Social Media" to define and re-define their own medium? How has this aesthetic and technological revolution of sharing photographs changed photography?
The Fine and Performing Arts Department at Colby-Sawyer College is looking for artists creating photographic work that deal with this change, whether by questioning, rejecting, or embracing photography in and as a social media.

Submission Requirements:
Submissions should be emailed to mugarart@colby-sawyer.edu, following the below guidelines.
Photographers may submit up to five images from a cohesive, exhibition-ready body of work, as well as a brief artist statement and resume. Work must be submitted digitally by January 5, 2017.
Artists should submit no more than 5 jpegs of their images. The jpegs should be saved at 1200 pixels on their longest side, and the file size should not exceed 500kb. Files that exceed this size will not be reviewed.
In addition, artists should submit a one page PDF that includes a short statement, bio, and contact information.

Juror: Allen Frame
Allen Frame lives in New York where he teaches photography at the School of Visual Arts, Pratt Institute, and the International Center of Photography. He has also taught photography workshops in Mexico and Russia. His book Detour, a compilation of his photographs over a decade, was published by Kehrer Verlag Heidelberg in 2001.
