Starting Sept 2019: Six Proposals will be selected

The Photographic Galleries at Orange Coast College   /   Deadline: 04/15/19

Exhibitions start September of 2019 and run through out the 2019-2020 academic year. We are looking for six one person exhibitions of emerging contemporary photographers. The School of Photography at Orange Coast College is one of the largest in California. Our audience are the students and the larger Los Angeles and Orange County photographic and fine art communities.

Location

Orange Coast College2701 Fairview RdCosta Mesa, CA 92804

Fees

Free

Eligibility

We are looking for six one person exhibitions of emerging contemporary photographers.

Requirements

Proposals can be PDFs e-mailed or links from wetransfer.com sent to The Selection Committee, photo.gallery.occ@gmail.com
Exhibitions tend to be about 22"x17" sized Prints. Gallery specifications will be supplied upon selection. To keep exhibition cost to a minimum we can install a show of just prints or matted prints. Framed art is not encouraged due to the shipping cost. The artist pays for shipping to OCC and OCC pays for shipping and insurance back to artist. An honorarium is given to the artist after the conclusion of the exhibition. This year it was $250.

Awards

Honorarium $250

Considerations

Framed work is not encouraged. Some accommodations can be made for some thin framed work, but it tends to be too expensive to ship given the limited honorarium.

Evaluation Criteria

The Gallery Selection Committee will announce status of your submission after May 16, 2019
