All photographers are invited to enter Media Arts Council's 16th Annual Juried Photography Exhibit (PhotoEx).

The 2022 theme is: "In the Moment." Photos may depict any subject matter in any location, provided they reflect the theme. Deadline for entries is 11:59 PM, Friday August 26, 2022.

Photography stops time and captures unique moments of light on subject matter. Whether intentional or through a fleeting serendipitous shutter click, use your own unique interpretation of this theme in your photographic submissions. The juror will consider composition and photographic technique, as well as interesting subject matter and interpretation of the theme for this year's finalists.

Over the past two years, PhotoEx has negotiated lockdowns with a purely digital online experience. This year's show will be a "hybrid" experience with ALL submissions entered digitally and exhibited in our online gallery, but for our local entrants that are available for physical hanging, we will also host a hybrid gallery experience in the new MAC Arts Center in Media PA that will combine framed works with digital displays of virtual-only finalists as well.

This year's juror is Amie Potsic, CEO and Principal of Amie Potsic Art Advisory LLC, Host of the Art Watch Radio Show & Podcast, as well as an established photographer and installation artist.

5 finalists awards with cash prizes ($300, $200, $100, $50, $50)

Evaluation Criteria

Flexible theme, professional quality, conform to specifications, must not have exhibited at MAC previously.
