You are invited to enter the 2021 Marietta Celebrates Photography National Juried Photography Show. The Show is open to all photographers, both amateur and professional, and all original photographic media, including film and digital images.

The exhibition will have photographs selected by the jurors on display at Winters Street Studio and Muse & Co. Fine Art Gallery located in historic Marietta Square in Georgia, along with a virtual tour for the month of October 2021.

Categories include landscape/travel, street, portrait, still life, and narrative/conceptual.

Eligibility

All amateur and professional photographers are welcome to submit.

Requirements

Digital images of the work should be submitted as JPEG files. Images should be 2080 pixels on the longest side. Resolution set to 72 ppi. Submissions should not have watermarks or borders. High-resolution photographs may be requested by the gallery to prove authorship. Notes about the image and/or its processing may be included in with the entry form.

All image filenames must formatted as: Lastname_First Initial_Title_Category.jpg (Doe_J_Flowers_StillLife.jpg). This information must match the title and name on the entry form.

Awards

First Place: $250 & copy of exhibition book

Second Place: $125 & copy of exhibition book

Third Place: $75 & copy of exhibition book

Considerations

Submitted images will be viewed by jurors who will select the photographs accepted for the show. The accepted entries will be judged on technical and artistic merit as determined by the judge, who will choose prize winners.

The copyright of submitted images remains with the photographer. By submitting the entry form, the photographer agrees to allow Winters Street Studio to publish the image on websites, social media and printed materials and to use the image in promotions for this and future contests without compensation.

Photographs should be printed at 300 dpi (at least) and must be mated and framed behind glass or acrylic, printed on canvas and gallery wrapped (framed or unframed), or printed on metal. If the mounted form of display is not wired for hanging it is not acceptable. Matted only pieces are not acceptable. Hanging methods other than wiring cannot be used. Photographs that do not meet these criteria will not be accepted into the Show.

The photographer's name, the work's title and price must be on the back of each finished piece and must match the information on the entry form. A copy of the entry form may be used on the back of each finished piece. No entry may be larger than 24"x36"; (including mat and frame).

Works can be smaller than 24"x36". Glass is permitted in entries hand delivered to the gallery.

Please note on submission form the price of the piece, OR specify it is not for sale. A sales commission of 50% for Muse & Co. Fine Art and Winters Street Studio will be retained for all work sold during the course of the show. The 6% Georgia sales tax will be added at the point of sale. All work must remain in the gallery through the show dates.
