A Magazine for Reproduction-based Arts

The Hand Magazine is an international journal for photography, printmaking and collage. Our mission is to promote the hand of the artist in "reproduction-based arts". We never have any themes so the subject matter is open. Any artwork that incorporates any kind of photography or printmaking process is accepted. We consider the hand of the artist to be present in subject matter as well as the print itself; for example, directorial work, tableaux, and staged still-lifes. Submission fee (no fee for subscribers) includes a copy of the magazine whether work is printed or not. Essentially it is a one-issue subscription.

$15 in the US (no fee for subscribers)

Requirements

Up to 5 images per submission and the submission form

Evaluation Criteria

We are particularly interested in unique, experimental techniques and innovative work including alternative process, mixed media, mixed process, installation, and performance.
