The Hand Magazine is seeking submissions of photo- and print-based works of art for our January 2016 issue. Any works that incorporate any photographic or printmaking process are accepted, including moving film and video-based work, performance, installation, book arts, and mixed media.

The "Automic" exhibition will be in Albuquerque, NM

Requirements

Submission fee or subscription, submission form, up to five images. File specifications are on our website.

Considerations

Approximately 25 works will be selected and invited to participate in an exhibition at The Small Engine Gallery in Albuquerque, NM, USA.

Evaluation Criteria

Particular consideration is given to works that are hand-printed or show a significant manipulation of the subject matter by the artist's hand. Straight documentary work is generally not accepted- unless it is printed by hand. The Hand seeks the weird, the unusual, the narrative, the poetic, the most experimental and unique expressions and uses of printed media.
