$2500 CASH AWARD POTENTIAL!
Manifest Gallery / Deadline: 10/03/18
Manifest is seeking entries to Geometrification, an international exhibit exploring geometry in art. Geometry in art is just one tip of a multifaceted iceberg. Whether it be the underlying compositional plan (or subliminal psychological program) of a narrative religious painting, an architectural motif of some vast Middle Eastern mosque, a scientist/artist's analysis of human proportions, or some optically tantalizing modern painting's pattern, geometry wends its way through our visual culture. Manifest is curious how it shows up in the art of today.
This exhibit has no predefined expectation for type or style of work to be considered or selected. Submissions can range from the most traditional to the most conceptual or experimental two-dimensional or three-dimensional works. The only criteria beyond excellent quality is that works must somehow address or feature the theme of geometry in subject, form, or content.
ANNUAL CASH AWARD: The annual Manifest Grand Jury Prize will result in the awarding of one significant cash prize ($2500) to a single work selected as the 'best of the entire season'.
