The Delaplaine Arts Center / Deadline: 09/22/24
The National Juried Photography Exhibition is held biennially in November at the Delaplaine as part of FOCUS, our month-long celebration of photography. Artists residing within the U.S. are invited to enter up to three (3) photographs for consideration. The entry fee is $35 per artist ($25 if the artist is a current member of the Delaplaine). All photographs, black & white, color, non-silver, computer-manipulated, digital, or pinhole are eligible.

There are no size restrictions for this exhibition. This exhibition will be held physically.
Number of Pieces: Artists may submit up to 3 pieces (in JPEG format) for consideration.
PLEASE NOTE: All artwork must be an original of the submitting artist, and should have been completed in the last 2 years. Artwork must not have been exhibited previously at the Delaplaine.
After you complete the entry and submit the required fee, your entry status may appear as 'NOT SUBMITTED' for up to 2 business days pending staff review. Your entry status will then be 'SUBMITTED.'
Prizes: First – $1,000, Second – $500, Third – $250, Honorable Mention – $125
About the juror:
Saskia Kahn is a photographer and faculty member at the Community College of Baltimore County, specializing in portraiture. Her work in this genre extends into community-building through collaborative photography projects. Kahn draws from her heritage and interest in diasporic memory. She was the winner of the best photography thesis for the 2022 Global Design Graduate Show. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, The Brooklyn Rail, and Entertainment Weekly, among others. Kahn is also a contributing photo essayist for BmoreArt magazine.
