Film Photo Award / Deadline: 10/15/19
The bi-annual Film Photo Award will begin accepting submissions for the Fall 2019 Submission Period on September 1, 2019. This award offers three distinct film grants to photographers who demonstrate a serious commitment to the field and are motivated to continue the development of still film-based photography in the 21st century. All emerging, established, and student photographers worldwide, 18 years old or older are invited to submit to one of three available award categories: New Project Award, Continuing Project Award, and Student Project Award.
$35 for non-students, $25 for students

1. Project Proposal: The Project Proposal should be a clear and concise explanation of either a current on-going film-based project, or a new film-based project you are planning to begin this year, depending upon which award you are applying for. Students can propose either a new or on-going project.
2. CV, Resume, or Bio (PDF)
3. (3) JPEG Images: Applicants must submit 10 images that are representative of either recent past projects (within the last 5 years) or a current project you are continuing.
4. Submission Fee: $35 for non-students, $25 for students

Continuing Project Award
Recipients choice of:
300 sheets of 4x5, 200 rolls of 120, or 200 rolls of 35mm Kodak Professional film
New Project Award
Recipients choice of:
300 sheets of 4x5, 200 rolls of 120, or 200 rolls of 35mm Kodak Professional film
Student Project Award
Recipients choice of:
150 sheets of 4x5, 100 rolls of 120, or 100 rolls of 35mm Kodak Professional film
In addition, the recipient of the Student Project Award will receive a 4x5 view camera from Standard Cameras.
Recipients choose the Kodak Professional Film emulsion that is best suited for their project from the following list: Portra 160, Portra 400, Ektar 100, Tri-X 400 / 320, T-MAX 100, T-MAX 400.
