Exposure 2018: To Those Who Serve

New Hope Arts is celebrating would like to invite artists working all photographic media to submit their works with regards to America and patriotism. Hot apple pie on the 4th of July, Mom, and Ole' Glory conjure America's typical images of her patriotic past. Today, many different opinions exist on the topic of patriotism. First responders (police, firefighters and arriving to disasters, foreign and domestic, to protect us. Having the freedom to march in support of what we believe in. The teachers in our community giving our children the best education they can. America's vast and beautiful landscapes that offers beauty from the mountains and oceans and the deserts and plains. Our cities and towns. And finally, our military. To the veterans and those currently serving, who risk and have risked their own lives to protect our freedom. Freedom, mankind and liberty become one in America thanks to Veterans, past and present. What does our America mean to you?

Eligibility

Please Note: The exhibition is open to photographers working in all media. Use of vintage photographs or vernacular * is encouraged. Images taken or obtained by a late family member or veteran will be accepted, however proper photo credit must be noted. For example if your loved one obtained negatives from a liberated camp in WWII, this will be accepted 'John Doe on behalf of Jane Doe'. If the photographer is unknown then credit should note 'unknown photographer'. Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions. Appropriation or use of copyrighted images will not be accepted
