Light Leaked / Deadline: 08/26/16
Light Leaked invites artists to submit to the exhibition, Direct Positive / Polaroids. We are seeking images ranging from representational to abstract that explore the possibilities of the Polaroid process. Note: Images can be created with any Polaroid film or process.
Jurors:
Ashley Kauschinger is an artist and the founding editor of Light Leaked, an online photography magazine that creates dialogue and community. Ashley lives and works in Columbia, SC where she is an adjunct professor at the University of South Carolina.
Jen Ervin is an artist who lives and works in Charleston, South Carolina. She was a studio artist at the Redux Contemporary Art Center from 2011-2013. It was during this time, she began her series, “The Arc of Summer”. Ervin has actively exhibited her work in galleries and museums. Publications have included Don’t Take Pictures, Aint-Bad Magazine, Lenscratch and Feature Shoot.
Submission Guidelines:
This exhibition is FREE to submit. Submit a zip file containing 3-5 jpegs, 1000px on the longest side, sRBG color space to LLsubmission@gmail.com Label images with the naming convention: Lastname_Firstname_Polaroids001.jpg with the subject heading Submission: Polaroids
In the body of the email please include: your name, website, image titles, and medium
Any incomplete submissions will not be considered.
Important Dates:
Submission Deadline: Friday, August 26, 2016 midnight eastern time
Acceptance emails will be mailed by Wednesday September 7, 2016
Exhibition Publication: Saturday, September 10, 2016
Note: Upcoming this September, Light Leaked will be taking on a new format (and new website) publishing a collection of themed content the second Saturday of each month. It will include at least one exhibition, interview and feature relating to that month's theme.
