The Colorado Photographic Arts Center announces its annual juried members' photography exhibition. This year's juror is Anne Leighton Massoni, Executive Director of the Houston Center for Photography in Texas. The exhibition will be a survey of new work made by CPAC members, and is intended to highlight the creative talents of CPAC's constituency. There is no theme. The show is open to current, registered members of the organization only. If you are not a member of CPAC, you can become one today!

The juror will select work for the exhibition along with a selection of special mentions which will be featured on the CPAC website, on a digital slide show in the gallery, and in an exhibition catalog that will be published.

Fees

First three images are free for current members (a code has been emailed out); $5 for each additional image. If you're not a member, pay the $50 entry fee and you will receive a free CPAC membership at the Individual level (1-year).

Eligibility

All lens-based media are eligible, including but not limited to images made by film, scanner, screen-capture, digital camera, and any means of mobile photography. Entry is open to regional, national, and international members of CPAC.

Current members will receive an email with a code to submit. Or members can call 303-837-1341 or email info@cpacphoto.org for the code. You must be a current CPAC member to enter. If you are not a member of CPAC you can become one online or pay the entry fee and you will become a CPAC member.

Final exhibition sizes must be specified, if the work is framed include that in the size.

The Gallery also understands that work may be presented in a non-traditional way that is integral to the art. Please contact us in advance if you feel your work fits into these criteria.

The gallery must receive artwork no later than Friday, June 20, 2025. CPAC will charge a 30% sales commission.

Awards

Best in Show Purchase Award: receives $400 and the selected image becomes part of CPAC's permanent photography collection.

Director's Choice: receives $150

Honorable Mention Award(s)

All awardees will receive a printed copy of the exhibition catalog.

Evaluation Criteria

JUROR
Anne Leighton Massoni is Executive Director of the Houston Center for Photography in Texas. Before joining HCP she was the Dean and Managing Director of Education at the International Center of Photography in New York City. She has held academic positions at Cornell University, Tyler School of Art, and the University of the Arts. She has curated over 25 exhibitions including most recently solo exhibitions by Marc Ohrem-Leclef and Deborah Jack. She co-edited The Focal Press Companion to the Constructed Image in Contemporary Photography with Marni Shindelman. Massoni graduated with a MFA in Photography from Ohio University and BAs in Photography and Anthropology from Connecticut College. Her personal studio practice relates to ideas of both real and fabricated memories and identity, using a variety of film and digital techniques.
