All photographers are invited to enter Media Arts Council's 15th Annual Juried Photography Exhibit (PhotoEx).

The theme for 2021 is: "Balance." Photos may depict any subject matter in any location, provided they reflect the theme. Deadline for entries is 11:59 PM, Saturday August 21, 2021.

Balance: What does it mean to you?
Symmetrical balance displays one half of the image as nearly identical to the other. Asymmetrical balance draws the viewer's attention across the image, and relies on the weight of color, tone, or conceptual meanings to achieve the stability of balance. Consider the various ways you can incorporate the stable concept of "Balance" in your photographic submissions, with your unique interpretations for the PhotoEx 2021 Juried Exhibition.

Our unprecedented times have created "extended" challenges for us all. In order to assure the safest environment, and accessibility for everyone, our "gallery viewed from home" will continue for this year's 2021 exhibit. This allows the repeated opportunity for any photographer nationwide to submit to this ALL-VIRTUAL exhibit.

Fees

$35 for 1-3 images, $40 for 4 images, $45 for 5 images

Eligibility

Open to amateur and professional photographers nationwide.

One Second Place Award of $200
One Third Place Award of $100
One Honorable Mention Award of $50
Michael J. Berman Award – TBD

Evaluation Criteria

The juror will consider good composition and photographic technique, as well as interesting, unusual subject matter, and interpretation of the theme.
