All photographers are invited to enter Media Arts Council's 13th Annual Juried Photography Exhibit, PhotoEx.

The theme for 2019 is: "Change/Transformation." Photos may depict any subject matter in any location, provided they reflect the theme. Deadline for entries is 7:00 PM, Saturday August 24, 2019, regardless of postmark.

Change/Transformation: What does it mean to you? Something altered or modified. A metamorphosis, transfiguration, evolution, or reshaping. This theme invites you to use the concept of "Change/Transformation" in your photographic submissions, incorporating your unique creative interpretations for the PhotoEx 2019 Juried Exhibition.

Fees

$35 for up to 3 entries; $5 for each additional entry up to total of 5.

Requirements

Accepted works must be hand-delivered to the Media Arts Council Gallery at 609-B West State Street, Media PA 19063

Awards

 One First Place prize of $200
 One Second Place prize of $100
 One Third Place prize of $50
 Two Honorable Mention prizes of $35 each

Evaluation Criteria

Juror Nancy Batty was an adjunct instructor at Widener University for 12 years, teaching courses on the History of Photography. She served as guest curator for 3 touring exhibitions of works by master photographers in the Reader's Digest collection. Her 30-year career as a museum professional included such highlights as: coordinating a residency by Carrie Mae Weems; curating an exhibition titled William Wegman/Outdoor Photographs; selecting photography for 3 regional biennial exhibitions, and overseeing the care and growth of 3 museum collections which included photography.
