Society for Photographic Education South Central Chapter   /   Deadline: 09/17/21

Gallery exhibition dates:
October 15 - November 13, 2021

SPESC students are invited to showcase their work at the SP/N Gallery on the University of Texas at Dallas campus during the 2021 SPESC Chapter Hybrid Conference, to be held October 29-30, 2021. Embracing Change will explore the rapid changes in photographic practice, relating to web, video, performance, installation, and interactive environments

No need to print, matte, mount, or frame—we will do the printing for you. Prints will be mounted to gallery walls.


The UT-Dallas SP/N Gallery has generously offered to host the SPE SC regional Student Exhibition during our 2021 conference. The SP/N Gallery is located on the north side of the University of Texas at Dallas campus in Richardson: 3020 Stewart Dr. Richardson, TX, 75080. The gallery is free and open to the public. Reservations to visit the gallery can be made via Sign-Up Genius on the gallery website: gallery will also be available virtually via documentation through Matterport Gallery. After the ExhibitionAfter the exhibition the prints will be returned to the SPE South Central Chapter board and will be considered for future exhibits.




> Only SPESC student members can submit image files for the exhibition. (Students in the SPE South Central Chapter region: Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas).


How It Works
Submit up to three digital files via Google Forms and we will do the rest! We will print one copy of each digital file submitted (to your specifications--up to 13" x 19"). We will then install your image at the SP/N Gallery at UT-Dallas.

> Students need to submit photographic image files for the print exhibition by Friday, September 17, 2021.

> Prints will be output based upon the size indicated by the student to the maximum image size of 13" x 19." Print resolution of 240 ppi is preferred.

> Students may submit up to 3 images to be printed for exhibition.

There is no entry fee but exhibitors will be required to be current student members of SPESC in order for their work to be included in the exhibition.

All submissions should be submitted via the Google Form link as jpgs.

Save files as:
Last Name_First Initial_student_(number – 01, 02, 03, 04, 05)_(view– if applicable).jpg.
Examples: Smith_J_student_01.jpg or Smith_J_student_01_view1.jpg.
Files should not exceed 3MB in size, 5,000 pixels on the longest dimension, Save as AdobeRGB.


> Display of prints is subject to space limitations and prioritized by submission date.
Please note: The SPESC Conference Committee reserves the right to pull any prints.
