Spatial Artifacts

I work with spaces. Spaces created by people either in real time physically or manufactured. I define the space with composition, which relies on the objects and the light cascading over and around. I was an early student of painting history and was taught of the dynamism of Titian and other Renaissance painters. I never overtly tried to photograph in resembling them but I see it creep out. I instead choose to document the human condition again either by direct relationship to people or to their spaces.

There is defining qualities to humanity. The striving to be together seems to be how humankind is programmed. As far as one goes away from a city, into farmland, country there are always clusters of buildings to create a town. A meeting hall or church to congregate is a way to again be together. Openness is not an option for humanity, wanting to be together, close, seems to be the comfort zone.

I am only noticing and recording the spaces large and small that are created. I revel in dynamics of light and object.
