The shape of a 1-celled, avian egg is recognizable in all cultures. Its beauty ranges from an egg by the Russian Fabergé, to one by a wild sparrow. In 2013 I produced a conceptual portfolio of 50 images by placing eggs from a chicken in various contexts. Some of the images relate to ongoing social matters. Some are merely entertaining. Here are 10 images to start.

The final ascent

Still life with seaplane and egg

Still life with egg and milkweed pod

Two histories

Sacred cloth

The fugitive

Two lovers watching spring breakup on the Red River

Plato's ideal state

Still life with leaves, eggs, and snow

Separated by measurements
