For over 33 years I have been creating pure abstract photographs. I don't consider my images experimental, nor do I worry about the misgivings of Pictorialism. These two old-fashioned ideas should be retired from the vernacular. Creative and painterly are more suitable.
Walking along the boulevard at night, I pause and begin to draw with my hand-held camera while aiming it at stationary colored lights. By drawing with a camera I put more of myself into each image.
I have had 20 exhibitions and over 750 of my abstract images are in private and public collections in 5 countries, including 30 prints with the Hungarian Museum of Photography.
