Author of "Bearing Witness (to AIDS)" (1999), "Amazing Grace" (2010), "Hard Boys + Bad Girls" (2010) and "Alpha Teach Yourself Black and White Photography in 24 Hours" (2002), and "Vital Signs" a collaborative photo project with poet Juan Delgado, published by Heyday (2013). Photographs have been in over 20 solo and more than 30 group exhibitions and in the collections of the Brooklyn Museum of Art; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Museum of the City of New York; New York Historical Society; Baltimore Museum of Art and the Riverside Art Museum, among others. Author of over 50 exhibition reviews, book reviews and features for Afterimage, Art Issues, Art Papers and Artweek. Professor of Art at California State University, San Bernardino and the founder of Dotphotozine/dotphotozine.com.
