This series of lumen prints is part of an exploration and attempt I am making to preserve Appalachian herbalist traditions. I grew up with these remedies and learning the healing properties of these plants and herbs. It is something that has always been an important part of my family. Unfortunately, as I grow up and the older generations are slowly waning away, they take many of these teachings with them. These lumens are my way of documenting the traditions interwoven in these plants and the Medicine they possess.
