about

Rebecca Hackemann, PhD, is a writer, artist and Associate Professor of Photography. Hackemann is a British/German conceptual artist who works in many media including stereo photography, drawing, public art, camera-less photography. The work and her writing has been widely exhibited and published. The work is concerned with perception, space, language and social practice. Hackemann has exhibited in New York, NY, San Francisco, CA, London, England and Philadelphia, PA and Germany. She was born, raised and educated in Germany, England and America. Hackemann's art practice challenges existing media categories, such as the flat photographic image on the wall.
