Morgain Bailey is a Maine-based visual artist who brings a west coast perspective to her current work about the northeastern United States. She has an interdisciplinary BFA from The San Francisco Art Institute. Her work is inspired by documentary landscape photographers, landscape painters, American history, land-use politics and the concept of personhood of place. She also loves to make portraits that explore individual identity and relationship to place. Her work has been seen in museums, galleries and publications across the United States.
