People At Work

People Work. Working People. Why People Work. Who People Are When They Work.
I have worked since the age of sixteen and I have had to work for everything I have. As an artist, I consistently had to find a balance in regards to my identity between adequately preforming my duties, fitting the mold of my position, and expressing my own personality. However, every company that I have worked for has shaped my values, perspectives, or ideas about the world in some way. It is this part of identity that interests me in the midst of the work place. The part of oneself that adapts and strives to be productive for either their own career or someone else’s business or cause. This photographic series is a visual pause in the monotony of working a job and offers a moment of reflection about one’s identity while at work.
