I use my camera as an excuse to delve into my personal life. I am interested in the strength of the female bond, the dynamic of familial relationships, and the aging process. I explore my experience bridging the gap between adolescence and adulthood. While attempting to understand this transition, I touch on different aspects of my personal life and my relationships with those around me. I seek to capture the energy and mystery of new, ephemeral relationships, coupled with the lethargy of adolescence and the primal need for human connection we all, young and old alike, desire. It is my hope that opening myself up to the viewer will allow someone, specifically women, who may not have the opportunity to express themselves, the chance to reflect and be vulnerable in return.
