about

Marissa Alper is an artist located in Richmond, Virginia. She is currently pursuing a BFA in photography with a minor in painting at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Marissa is interested in the strength of the female bond, the dynamic of familial relationships, and the aging process. She explores her experience bridging the gap between adolescence and adulthood through photography, painting, and a variety of other mediums. While attempting to understand this transition, she touches on different aspects of her personal life and her relationships with those around her.
