TRVPPED

'TRVPPED' explores how women can often feel held captive inside of their own body due to society's unrealistic concept of "body standards." Women feel pressured to achieve what is considered an attractive physique, but the "norm" they are chasing is usually far from attainable thanks to trends like over-editing and plastic surgery. This seemingly endless pursuit for the "ideal body" commonly leads women down a path of unhealthy habits, which can evolve into eating and mental disorders. While struggling with my own self-image and watching close friends become self-loathing due to this problem, this project gave me a chance to convey how it feels to be stuck inside of a body that you resent.
