Vanishing City

Vanishing City explores a cluster of coastal parishes in southern Louisiana. Economically dependent on the petroleum industry, this region's way of life is tragically intertwined with the very thing that may bring about their demise. Superstorms that once struck the region every 100 years, now come nearly every 4-5 years. Human-made land erosion and devastating hurricanes have battered these communities nearly out of existence.
