Social and economic priorities of a growing and competitive globalized society are among the most significant challenges facing environmental protection. While these issues are debated globally, the effects are felt locally. This issue has been evident in the city of Atlanta when at one point, it was unimaginable that water contamination could be a problem in this modernized center. Yet, Atlanta has faced this issue three times in just the last two years alone.
Eco-scene is a conceptual look at the environment, foretelling a future of a scared world if a balance is not struck between economic priorities and our ecology. Long exposures in the images communicate a representation of the present and possible future. The Chattahoochee River is represented factually as the city of Atlanta's primary water source and metaphorically as a symbol of life. Eco-scene communicates the possibility of a world that may one day be absent of human existence.
