I explore the converging landscape between wilderness and civilization. While I temporarily reside in ambiguity regarding the landscape, a contemplative internal journey begins to evolve as I examine the time and space in which I inhabit. Slowly and methodically, the landscape I am in becomes a convoluted path of uncertainty. This uncertainty presents itself in the form of a question; What defines the boundary between civilization and wilderness? Breadcrumbs is a project that explores this journey into thought, time and space. Metaphorically, my images mark the path that depict the boundary of uncertainty between wilderness and civilization. Through photography, I manipulate thought into a physical object that encourages contemplation. This encouragement enables the viewer to perceive their own relationship with the convergence of two dissimilar landscapes in a combined space. By empowering the viewer to discover which boundary is more appealing, my project allows for a unique, contemplative journey on a path that leads either to civilization or to nature.
