Mother's Absence

This project is my reaction to recently being abandoned by my mother and the lingering void she has left in my family. Being in the beginning stages of contemplation and execution the photographs portray a losing of beauty was with small suggestions of jealousy and longing in my role as both an artist and a confused daughter. I am using different types of photography from inkjet digital prints to negatives for a large alternative print, I am creating imagery while also sourcing from historic digital archives. This work is about abandonment, loss, confusion, a void, and the relationship between a parent and their child.
