I walked into a cave on the side of a rock face. "How we make our Rocks". This exhibit gave it away without telling anything.

Stuffed animal, hunted, displayed. Am I looking at something dead or not dead?

Outside of the rock face I photographed an awkward teenaged boy dressed all in black. He carried an oversized rainbow umbrella (it is sunny in the desert). So I asked him to twirl it.

The desert was the sea. I am standing at the bottom of the ocean.

The Sky Island region of Southern Arizona encompasses multiple mountain ranges that appear to float on the horizon when seen from elevated vantage points. I traveled to the tops while shooting photographs along the way, in addition to making images in museums on the ground. Sky Islands Sought: The Huachucas, Santa Ritas, Pinalenos, Rincons, Dragoons, and the Chiricahuas. Museums: The Sonora Desert and International Wildlife Museums, Tucson's western film sets, and the Miniature Time Museum, among others.
