I am from many places but nowhere specific. My Dad was a career Navy Doctor who took us from Japan, to the Mid-Atlantic states, and back to Japan again before I went to art school. Both of my parents were artists. My Mom collaged, painted, & made jewelry while my Dad made ceramics and collaged too. My Dad gave me my first camera at 6 and when I was 14, he gave me his Nikon. I graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art in ’92 with my BFA in Photography. I’ve had many different careers since then as a jewelry designer, publishing company graphic designer, an “in-house” advertising agency photographer, a “stay-at-home” Mom, freelance photographer, graphic and web designer, design firm office manager, and finally an adjunct photography professor. As of May, 2017 I earned my Master’s in Photography from Academy of Art University.
