about

Atis Puampai is currently a MFA candidate at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. Puampai's work is an exploration of time and motion rooted in concepts based from scientific theory. The foundation of his photographic practice is DIY camera building, influenced from historical photographers such as Eadweard Muybridge, Etienne-Jules Marey, and Harold Edgerton. Puampai is concerned with the limited human perception of time.
