Antonio earned an MFA in photography at East Carolina University in 2005, and currently teaches at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He has exhibited his work on a national and international level. His photographic work combines the aesthetics and practice of chemical and digital processes. His most recent work, Near the Egress, featured in PDN and Lensculture, involves the production of a stop-motion video of a modern circus comprised entirely of dryplate tintypes. His current photographic work involves cagefighters from southern Illinois and another stop-motion video comprised of polaroid lifts.
