about
An adjunct at Southwest School of Art, Anthony Francis' work is mostly portraiture and deals with issues of the human self in space and time. He believes place throws into relief who we are, whether in the physical sense and in tandem with our surroundings or in contrast, questioning the problems with what we have made. But, this interaction, largely shows us to all be more human, a shared existence we so often deny or complicate. He is fascinated by ideas of love and its different meaning and inaction within our lives as it undergirds his work.
