about

Amber Eckersley is a Visual Arts MFA candidate concentrating in photography at Clemson University in Upstate South Carolina. She received her BA in History in 2014 from Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina. Born and raised in Conway, Amber’s work is strongly influenced by the humid, swampy landscape of the Pee Dee region in South Carolina. Her work explores the relationship between memory and landscape, utilizing various mediums such as photography, video, and audio to examine the transience of life and humankind’s imprint on place.
