This workshop will demonstrate photo-intaglio process including digital preparation and printing. Workshop will cover: photopolymer lamination, exposure, developing, and printing. In addition, preparation of digital images in Photoshop as well as film positive output/printing will be covered. Production will include one photo-polymer plate and print, and will take approx. 3 hours. Due to time constraints some of the workshop's preparation will need to be completed ahead of time. If participants would like to use their own imagery, digital files will need to be sent via email one week before the conference to ewaterko@uncc.edu. Image files should be Jpegs and must be prepped in Photoshop. Image files must have good contrast, be in Grayscale Mode, and be between 300-800 dpi at 6"x8". If participants do not send images ahead of time, imagery for workshop will be provided for them.
The workshop is limited to 12 participants. After registering for the conference you will receive instructions for workshop registration.
This workshop will be held on Saturday, October 20th at 2pm at the McColl Center for Visual Art; a volunteer will meet participants in the lobby of the Center City building at 1:40pm and will walk together to the McColl Center.
