Rebecca Foley [REGISTRATION CLOSED.]
Saturday, October 19 - 9:00AM to 12:00PM
The Light Factory Darkroom
The argyrotype process is a quick and gratifying iron-based contact printing process; it is known as a more affordable alternative to platinum/palladium printing and is a good introductory process.
The best negative for the argyrotype process is one that is suitable for platinum/palladium printing-- one with a bit more density and contrast. However, the process is forgiving enough that a range of negatives will work. Participants may bring any large format or digital negatives for printing, may use objects to create photograms, or they may feel free to email an image to me at rfoley1@missouriwestern.edu, and I will prepare a digital negative for you.
The workshop is limited to 12 participants. After registering for the conference you will receive instructions for workshop registration. Materials Fee for this workshop is $20 for regular members, $15 for students.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
