Known for its major league sports and world-class arts and culture, it's no wonder that Lonely Planet travel guide named Cincinnati one of the top three U.S. travel destinations this year. During October 2012, Cincinnati presents the inaugural event, FOTOFOCUS a celebration of photography and lens-based media. MWSPE conference tours will consist of several international exhibitions including: Doug and Mike Starn: Gravity of Light at the Holy Cross Monastery, presented by the Cincinnati Art Museum; Herb Ritts: LA Style at the Cincinnati Art Museum; Star Power; Edward Steichen's Glamour Photography at the Taft Museum of Art; Robert and Shana ParkeHarrison: The Architect's Brother at the Art Academy of Cincinnati; Reporting Back: A Survey of Documentary Photography, a group exhibit curated by Barry Andersen at Northern Kentucky University; FOTOFOCUS Artist Laurel Nakadate: Polaroids from Stay the Same Never Change at the Art Academy of Cincinnati; Photogenus at the University of Cincinnati DAAP Galleries.
